Hell begins when the person you are meets the person you could have been," wrote Eli Cohen. He of all people should know. Twice denied serving his country, Israel, he went on to become the most successful spy that nation ever retained. With his skilled detailed espionage -- eventually at the highest levels of Syrian government -- Israel was able to capture the Golan Heights in just two days.
So, why are some folks so determined to succeed while others are so happy to just co-exist? I believe it has to do with one’s purpose and the passion anchoring it.
Late last winter, Life Benefits, Inc. hosted the "2010 Freedom Retreat" in Salem, Oregon. Twenty two states were represented as people from across the country came and took part. Like Eli Cohen, they realize when hell really begins.

Education or, rather, elucidation becomes critical in times like we live in today, as many have lost sight of what true liberty and freedom really mean. Too many are compliantly satisfied with peace on any terms rather than a peace where all can truly live freely.
It’s estimated that 85% of all the water that Israel uses today comes from the Golan Heights. What if Eli Cohen had decided that it wasn’t worth pressing forward with his dream to serve his country after he’d been denied the first or second time? In the same way, do you have the option of sitting idly by while the freedoms our founding fathers died for are being stolen or eradicated on a daily basis? Who’s to say that you don’t hold the vital key to restoring one or two or even more of those foundational freedoms?
